I started over 21 years ago as a professional. I attended "Roffler Hair Design" in Lakeland, Florida. My interest and desire for the business started further back than that. It wasn't until a family member encouraged me that I went on to realize it as my career. I'm glad they did.What Inspires You? Learning new things! I'm an avid learner and spend much of my time doing it. |

Why did you become a Stylist? I wanted a career I would enjoy where I could be creative. I like working around people and I love being part of changes in their lives that make life better. I don't know of anything that can refocus how you feel about yourself and the confidence you can posses than a few hours with your hair stylist. I love making the world a beautiful place to live. What is your favorite thing to do as a Stylist? That's easy, Color! I went to school to get a license to cut hair. Then they introduced me to color. The romance began. I love color and I often sit around and think of new ways to place it and study how to do it better. I get to learn this art from JPMS artists like, Linda Yodice & Scott Cole, Color Artistic Directors, and Stephanie Kocielski, Artistic Director. A hair cut is awesome but if you want that cut to really sing you put some well place color in it and bam! entire new you! |
What are some highlights of your Career so far? Wow, that's a loaded question. Besides the everyday fun I have behind the chair, the hair shows and educational events I've done, I would say my time in television. I was hired as an image consultant on a daily talk show that aired on the Fox network. I also made daily appearances as the co-host. It was fun and I learned so much. I also learned what it's like to be on TV everyday. Fun!
Ask anyone who really knows me and they will tell you my children! Helping others to realize the ability that is in them to succeed is too. I get to realize this passion through my company "Allure, A Michael Clopton Salon" as well as in salon education with the Paul Mitchell Systems and online through my audio recordings, Motivational Download, Business Building Download and Michaelisms. I love it, I think I'm a good coach and I love doing it. |
